Sun Dried Tomato Sliders and Veggie Skewers

I had prime rib sliders at a local restaurant. I fell in love. I wouldn’t call these calorie friendly. They were served with an aioli on soft white rolls. However, for a treat, they are worth the calories.

This recipe uses less costly hamburger, but add the sun-dried tomato and marinara sauce, and you have a really great slider.

Serves 8


1 pound lean ground beef
¾ cup bread crumbs
½ cup basil, chopped
½ cup Marinara sauce

1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

2 large egg whites

2 cloves minced garlic

8 ea rolls

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients. Divide into 8 portions.
  2. Grill 3 – 5 minutes each side.
  3. Serve on rolls.

Top with cheese, or lettuce. Sliders aren’t meant to be topped with a lot of burger type ingredients, so don’t be tempted to add lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles etc. They will fall apart.
